Prince Archie, son of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, turned six on Tuesday and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex couldn’t be more proud. The As Ever founder took to Instagram to celebrate their son’s birthday with a heartwarming post.
“Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie!” Meghan wrote, accompanied by a photo of Archie looking up at the sun. The duchess also expressed her gratitude for all the love, prayers, and warm wishes for their sweet boy. “He’s six!” she exclaimed, before asking the relatable question, “Where did the time go?”
Meghan also took the opportunity to thank everyone who attended Archie’s birthday celebration. “For all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special,” she added with a red heart emoji.
The couple’s youngest son, Archie Harrison, was born on May 6, 2019, weighing 7 pounds and 3 ounces. In a photo call with the press shortly after Archie’s birth, Meghan gushed about his “sweetest temperament.” She said, “He’s just been the dream, so it’s been a special couple of days.” Harry also shared his excitement about being a new parent, saying, “Parenting is amazing.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also have a three-year-old daughter, Princess Lilibet, who was born in 2018. The couple has been open about their journey as parents, often sharing glimpses of their family life with their fans and followers on social media.
In 2019, during their royal tour of South Africa, Meghan and Harry introduced Archie to Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter. The couple expressed their joy at having their “own little bundle of joy” and were grateful for the precious time they got to spend with him.
