Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid stage is set to once again take center stage at this year’s highly anticipated music festival. With just weeks to go until the festival kicks off, music fans have been buzzing with excitement and speculation over a mysterious act that has recently been added to the line-up.
On Tuesday morning, the full list of stage times for the upcoming festival was unveiled, revealing the presence of an intriguing act that had not previously been announced. At 6pm on Saturday, the Pyramid stage will be taken over by an hour-long set from an act known as “Patchwork”, leaving many fans wondering who this mysterious performer could be.
The addition of a surprise act to the Glastonbury line-up is not unusual, as two years ago the Foo Fighters stunned fans with a secret performance under the name “The Churnups”. This year, fans on Reddit and other online forums have been trying to decipher the clues behind Patchwork’s identity, and some believe they have cracked the code.
One theory suggests that Patchwork is the name of a German novel written by Sylvia Haim, while others have pointed out that it is also the title of a 2015 horror movie about a Frankenstein-like creation made from the bodies of three women seeking revenge on their killer. These clues have led many to believe that Patchwork is actually the three-piece band Haim, made up of sisters Alana, Danielle, and Este.
Fueling this speculation is the fact that Haim will already be in the UK on Glastonbury weekend. They have a one-off gig in Margate scheduled for the night before their rumored appearance at Worthy Farm. Fans have also pointed out that the band’s upcoming album is titled “I Quit”, which could be a nod to the word “quilt” in the Patchwork name.
Social media has been abuzz with excitement over the possibility of Haim taking the stage at Glastonbury. One fan tweeted, “@glastonbury@secretglasto My literary wife has pointed out that Patchwork is a novel by Sylvia Haim, suggesting the Saturday pyramid slot is none other than @HAIMtheband …. What do you think? #glastonbury2025pic.twitter.com/QsUvkWFbrP”. Other fans have also taken to Twitter to express their theories, with one user saying, “@secretglasto Playing the Pyramid on Saturday 6pm-7pm are Patchwork!!! My guess is that it is Haim!!”.
But Haim is not the only rumored surprise act at this year’s Glastonbury. The schedule currently has a whopping 56 “TBA” slots, leaving room for many other potential surprise performers. Mumford & Sons, Pulp, Lewis Capaldi, and more have all been rumored to make appearances at the festival.
The Glastonbury line-up is already stacked with some of the biggest names in music. Artists like Jade, Scissor Sisters, Charli XCX, The Libertines, The Prodigy, and Alanis Morissette are just a few of the stand-outs on this year’s roster. Headliners include Olivia Rodrigo, The 1975, and Neil Young, with Sir Rod Stewart set to take the coveted Sunday afternoon “legends” slot.
As we eagerly await the start of this year’s Glastonbury, one thing is for sure – it’s going to be an unforgettable weekend filled with surprise performances, incredible music, and the iconic Pyramid stage. Make sure you don’t miss out on the festivities and stay tuned for more updates as the festival draws near. See you at Worthy Farm!
